If we feel that the grooming service is becoming too overwhelming for geriatric, bariatric, or fussy dogs we reserve the right to discontinue that days' service and reschedule for another day. This gives the opportunity for rest and recuperation and to start fresh the next time. Their haircut may not be perfect, the nails may not be dremeled, but we are not going to cause more stress by encouraging a dog to continue through a service unnecessarily. 

Many dogs acquire tangles here and there, but matting in certain sensitive areas can cause stress to de-mat. These include, but are not limited to: tails, ears, muzzles, bellies, and chests. These areas can be painful to de-mat, but also dangerous. Ears, for example, have a high tear-risk. This means certain areas may be shaved with clippers as opposed to "brushing out" matting. At times, your service and price may be adjusted to reflect the haircut and time spent on a matted coat. 

Not all dogs enjoy grooming, and that's okay! All dogs have likes and dislikes, just like their humans. If a dog is not tolerating a certain aspect of the service, we reserve the right to decline a specific service or find a reasonable replacement as a solution. This means if a dog does not enjoy its feet being handled, we are not going to provide a nail painting service for that dog. Their personality could be expressed in other colorful ways that don't involve extra paw-handling. 

As dogs age and go through life changes (a surgery, the development of an allergy, a change in behavior etc.), their care needs to be adjusted to best fit their needs. We will do everything in our power to provide the utmost care, but in some cases medical attention is needed to further address a concern. Lumps and Bumps will always be reported to a pet parent for observation and investigation. We also reserve the right to suggest veterinary care for weight management and dental hygiene.
